Why we exist
Rhode Island has been running the same playbook for decades. Special interests set the agenda. Government grows. Costs rise. Young people leave. And every election cycle, voters are told the only choice is between two versions of the same disappointment.
We think that's wrong, and we think there's a better way.
"Since Lincoln, Republicans have stood for national unity, the rule of law, fiscally responsible and affordable government, peace through strength, free enterprise and opportunity, and strong government closest to the people. Those aren't just talking points. They're a roadmap."
The RI Republican Problem Solvers Caucus exists to put that roadmap to work. Not as a vehicle for grievance or rage-driven politics, but as a serious, policy-focused organization that helps candidates and elected officials solve real problems for real Rhode Islanders.
What we do
The RIRPSC serves as a resource for Republican candidates and elected officials across Rhode Island. We identify common-sense solutions to the challenges Ocean State residents face, and we give candidates the policy backing, research, and messaging to make those solutions central to their campaigns.
In 2026, our work is focused on three areas:
Affordability. Rhode Island has some of the highest energy costs in the country and a housing market that's pricing out working families. We're developing a concrete five-year agenda to change that.
Opportunity. The fourth industrial revolution is Rhode Island's chance to compete on new terms. AI infrastructure and workforce retraining can offset structural disadvantages, alongside school choice, small business growth, and making Rhode Island a state where people want to build a life.
Accountability. None of it works if government keeps pandering to special interests. We're pushing for a line-item veto, departmental inspectors general, and real transparency in how taxpayer money is spent.
Who we are
The RIRPSC is a membership organization open to all Republicans and like-minded independents. Our founding members bring backgrounds in business, healthcare, civic leadership, and Rhode Island politics, united by a belief that the state's challenges are solvable with the right people in the room.
We're not a fringe group, a PAC, or a party apparatus. We're Rhode Islanders who think the answer to bad government is better ideas, and who are willing to put in the work to make them reality.
How we're organized
The RIRPSC is incorporated as a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization. Membership is free and open to the public. As permitted under federal law, we engage in lobbying related to our policy agenda and may support candidates for state and local office.
Donations to RIRPSC are not tax-deductible. The organization is governed by bylaws adopted by the founding members and guided by a commitment to transparency, integrity, and long-term results over short-term politics.
